The Quarter Century Wireless Association was founded in 1947 to provide an organization for the pioneers of the hobby to gather. QCWA Promotes friendship and cooperation among Amateur Radio operators who were licensed at least a quarter century ago, and are licensed today.
More than 30,000 membership numbers have been assigned over the years by QCWA National Headquarters. Although the majority of these amateurs live in the United States, our membership stretches around the world.
Activities within QCWA range from the local -- belonging to or organizing a Chapter in your area. Local chapters are involved with all areas of Amateur Radio. -- to the national, when we meet for our National Convention each year during the Dayton Hamvention and then on the air in December during the W2MM Special Event activity.
The local chapter for North Georgia is Chapter 49 Peach State - Atlanta, GA.
Chapter 49’s membership base now extends well beyond the metro-Atlanta area. Chapter 49 regularly has a weekly Saturday morning 75 Meter SSB net, and monthly membership meetings via Zoom.
