The Disabilities & Neurodiversity Special Interest Group is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable educational landscape that empowers individuals with diverse needs as they seek to attain postsecondary success and work within the college admissions industry. Our mission is to provide a platform for dialogue, advocacy, and collaboration that maximizes opportunities for educators, professionals, students, and caregivers and promotes transparency, understanding, and reducing the stigma surrounding disabilities and neurodiversity in higher education.

We envision a future where the Disabilities & Neurodiversity Special Interest Group is a catalyst for transformative change in the educational community and an affirming place for professionals to collaborate. We aim to be at the forefront of defining and expanding the disability tent, as well as championing the rights and dignity of individuals with diverse needs. Our vision is to unite diverse voices, including those of students, educators, and professionals, to create a more accessible, empathetic, and data-driven educational system. We aspire to elevate best practices, access, codes of ethics, and universal training, ultimately fostering an environment where all learners are celebrated and where every individual can thrive academically, socially, professionally, and holistically.
