Rock Creek Park with its Carter Barron area, rightfully belongs to the community, and we will work to contest it, overtly or in practice, being lost to private interests for control or exploited for private gain at the expense of its habitat, which includes its timber, creek, ground water, animals, and other species. After all, Rock Creek Park was designed to preserve its timber, and protect its creek, ground water, animals, and other species, including endangered species. Please join us to ensure that Rock Creek Park with its Carter Barron area, remains federally managed by the National Park Service and is able to fulfill its role as a habitat for its flora and fauna and as a public good, which is also vital to neighborhood welfare and quality of life.
