Note: If the group’s Hashtag Permissions setting is “Messages can be tagged with new hashtags,” group members who are not moderators can also create hashtags. However, those members cannot later edit any hashtags they created because the system does not track who creates a hashtag. If members want to edit hashtags that they created, they will need to ask an owner or moderator to make the edits.

To edit a hashtag:

1. Desktop browser: In the left menu on the group’s website, select Hashtags.
   Mobile device: In the group, tap the More icon at the bottom of a page, then, on the More menu, tap Hashtags.
2. On the Hashtags page, locate the tag you want to modify and click or tap the Edit Tag button.
3. On the hashtag’s page, change the desired fields and selections. For descriptions, see Creating a hashtag.
4. At the bottom of the page, click or tap the Update Hashtag button. The changes are applied to all topics that are tagged with the hashtag you modified.
