In short:

• Be a good neighbor— Treat others with respect. Including groups or persons not on the site.
• Stay on topic — Keep your content relevant to the group and the topic.
• Follow the law — We don't want any trouble here.
• Address the topic, not another person. Express your thoughts on subject not your opinion on someone else's thoughts on the subject. Example : If using “you” a “specific name”  it should be complementary not overly critical. Otherwise address the subject or topic stating your opinion, not each other. Avoiding negative adjectives or just generally negative about other people and about groups of people. They may not be on the site to defend themselves and it is not needed to address an issue. Keep it to constructive remarks and information.
• Do not overpost the same thoughts. If you have expressed your opinion in the past about the same, please do not keep posting negative comments about the same subject.
• Be as factual as possible. Provide resources for the information, if possible.Contrary to the statements of others, a different opinion does not qualify as misinformation. There will be different perspectives on the same issue.
• This site is for local community related issues, information, and  events. 

Here's how you can get the most out of our Group:

1. Share what you know. Chances are, someone can benefit from what you have to contribute.
2. Moderate your content.
3. Title subjects clearly but concise. Make it easy to know whats what

1. Don't be unkind. Exploitative or degrading comments are not welcome here. Also not welcome are belligerence, insults, slurs, profanity or ranting (soapboxing). Best way to avoid, is to speak to the issue, not to or about another person. No complaining or negative comments about others posts/ replies. Speak about your own opinion.
2. Don't be a spammer. Keep commercial self promo out. Reply to inquiries are okay. 
3. Politics. Local community issues may be discussed. But be extremely careful that you address the issue and do not direct negative comments with personal adjectives about other people or  posts. Local campaigning posts are not allowed. Campaigning for local community individuals is not the purpose of the site.  There will be opportunities for candidate position papers during the election period. Announcements for meet and greets by candidates are allowed.
4. National  issues or on politics is not the focus or purpose of the site. No posts on national issues that would potentially generate political related replies. Local events may be posted but closed to discussion. 
   
5. We post resources and tools, and links to State or National guidance. So where to get vaccines and nationally recognized treatments, local numbers, local cases alerts. But we avoid statements or lectures about personal choices which have become political. Or medical advice sites.
   

Our group, in the sole discretion of its owners, may remove any content or remove you from the group immediately.
And without notice if you violate the group guidelines, or we believe you have violated or tried to violate the rights of others. Please help us keep our groups an enjoyable and positive experience.
