CAINCOMM is intended to facilitate the sharing of ideas between local, state, and federal government employees who are trained, certified and/or qualified as Communications Coordinators (COMC), Communications Unit Leaders (COML), Incident Communication Technician (COMT), Incident Communications Center Manager (INCM) or Radio Operator (RADO). These can be either National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) or DHS All-Hazard FEMA personnel. The target audience are those personnel based in the state of California, although we allow COMU personnel from outside California to join also.
Any topic of interest to the members may be discussed as long as it is related to Incident Communications.
In order to keep spam to a minimum, the group is restricted and all members must be approved to join the group.When applying to join CAINCOMM, please provide your name, agency affiliation, and your certifications/qualifications as it relates to the ICS Communications Unit.
Any spam, off topic posts, or offensive comments will cause you to be placed in a moderated status.
