Example You have been added message for transfer from a Yahoo Group

In the description below, I've used MyGroup and MyTitle as placeholders for the actual group name and title. I used the Link tool to make the addresses (email and web) active links. Below I've shown those items with underlines.

This Welcome notice was put in place temporarily just prior to giving the "Go" email to the transfer agent. The Y!Group members had previously been sent a few special notices telling them of the upcoming move; the last of which was sent just before the "Go" and told them to look for this message. So in that context "You made it!" would make sense.

After the transfer completed I made this one inactive, and created a slightly reworded welcome to be appropriate for people who applied to join the (restricted) group and were accepted. That one I named "Normal Welcome" and it remains the Active welcome message.

Hello,

The owner of the YahooGroupName Yahoo Group has moved the group to Groups.io, a new Groups service. You have been subscribed to the new group using your email address user@example.com. The title of the new group is GroupTitle, and messages can be sent to it at GroupName@groups.io. The group homepage is located here.

Groups at Groups.io are similar to Yahoo Groups, but we have several new features and we encourage you to explore the Groups.io website. If you have never registered with Groups.io before, your account will not have a password set yet. To log in, you can use the 'Email me a link to login' button to have a link emailed to you that will let you log into the website.

You do not have to do anything to continue being a member of this group. If you do not wish to be a member of GroupName, click here to unsubscribe and you will be unsubscribed immediately.

NOTE: You have also been added to the Groups.io updates group. The updates group occasionally sends out updates about the Groups.io service.

If you have any questions, please contact support@groups.io.

Cheers,
The Groups.io Team
